*Unlocked's total commission for Buyer agent services is 1.5% of the purchase price of your home, subject to a $15,000 minimum commission per transaction. Unlocked only receives a commission upon the Closing of your home purchase. Typically, home Sellers will offer to pay a Buyers' agent commission out of the proceeds received from their home sale. For a particular transaction, in the event that Sellers have offered, and Unlocked receives, a Buyers' agent commission of 2.5% of your home's sale price, Unlocked will issue a Cash Back Commission Rebate of 1.0% of the sale price to you at Closing (the difference between the 2.5% commission received and Unlocked's 1.5% fee for services), subject to Unlocked's $15,000 minimum commission per transaction. Per applicable IRS guidance, the Unlocked Cash Back Commission Rebate is not taxable to you, and accordingly Unlocked will not issue a Form 1099 or similar with respect to the commission rebate.
